Most giveaways have a real cash prize and unlock after the stream reaches a specific total number of chat messages.
The prize and message goal in the current stream title are the official terms for that giveaway.

What Happens When the Wheel Opens
The Cash Amount Is Set
Loulz announces the prize amount before the wheel opens. That amount remains attached to the giveaway through any re-spins.
The Giveaway Opens
The wheel appears and loads all entries collected from chat.
Keep Earning Entries
New messages continue adding entries while the wheel is visible, including before the winner is selected.
The Wheel Spins
Every message is a separate spot, so users with more messages have more chances.
A Winner Is Selected
The selected username appears on screen but must still confirm.
Confirm Within 30 Seconds
Type any message in Kick chat. No special phrase is required.
No Reply Means Re-Spin
If the selected user does not respond, all their entries are removed and the wheel spins again. Their result remains marked Not Confirmed and does not increase the cash-awarded total.
